Sounds Familiar

Sounds Familiar is a five piece Classic Rock band. All the members are seasoned professional musicians in their 40's and 50's, that have recently re-discoverd their love for the music we all grew up on. A Classic Rock band, our set list covers the full spectrum of Classic Rock. From Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd to Collective Soul, Evanescence, Journey, and Heart. Sounds Familiar delivers both old and new Classic Rock.

Rowena Harvey belts out the lead vocals. Her musical style ranges from Ann Wilson to Robert Plant, and she covers all the bases in between. Rowena’s musical career started in Newfoundland and has taken her to Ireland where she toured with a Celtic music ensemble throughout Dublin and the rest of Ireland. She holds a B.F.A degree in Theatre and has played leading rolls in musicals and theatre. She also has 10 years broadcasting experience on a classic rock radio station.

Manfred Neumann provides the lead guitar, lead and back up vocals. Manfred hails from Calgary, and has spent a great deal of his career in the studio and on the road, the highlight of which was touring with Eric Burden and The Animals.

Bob Davies provides lead guitar, keyboards, lead and back up vocals. Bob has played many styles over the years, from straight up country, backing up Brian Fustukian, the beginnings of country rock, touring with members of One Horse Blue, right through to today playing the classic rock he grew up on.

Randy Davies on the bass leads the rhythm section for this band, as well as lead and back up vocals. Randy spent the 80’s touring with KARION, playing the then “rock” that today is classic rock. His influences include Geddy Lee, Paul McCartney and many others.

Warren Duckering lays down the beat that drives this band, Warren started out free lancing during grade school as a “drummer for hire” and has accumulated extensive Professional touring and recording experience. Played with the bands Rumours Out, Raider, Sabre, Even Odds, Controller, Equinox, Backroads Band, Hard Road Easy and Hotwire. Warren’s Influences are Buddy Rich, John Bonham, Tommy Aldrich, Ian Paise, Neil Peart, and Bill Ward.
