Brett Kissel
Seventeen year-old Alberta ranch kid and Honor student, BRETT KISSEL, is a talented and entertaining showman, who has already enjoyed many successes in the country music industry. By performing at or emceeing the top festivals in Canada, Brett has certainly proven that even as a teenager, he’s one of Canada’s ‘young guns’ to watch for.
By the age of 12, he recorded his first CD “Keepin’ It Country”, his second CD “By Request” at 14, and both were very popular, filled with classic country tunes. He received great support, won several talent contests, and began a “career” of performing at nearly 150 events per year since the age of 13!!
Brett’s 3rd CD – “Tried and True – a Canadian Tribute” was produced by the highly sought-after Steve Fox, and soon garnered 15 year-old Brett much respect in the industry as the entire album pays tribute to the great Canadian singer/songwriters of yesterday. Scoring duets with the top names in Canadian country like Corb Lund (CCMA award winner), Steve Fox (CCMA award winner) as well as Hall of Fame legends Gary Fjellgaard and Larry Mercey of the Mercey Brothers, it is easy to acknowledge the roots that Brett has in traditional country music. Brett also duets with his guitar-hero Freddie Pelletier on a Don Messer instrumental favorite showcasing Brett’s musical abilities.
